Ground Ivy - Glechoma hederacea.
Flowering - March - May.
Height - 10- 30cm
A plant of the hedgerows and margins, it is found around the Recreation ground as well as in the Wildlife Reserve.

Another name is Alehoof, and before hops were introduced it was used to flavour beer.

It also had medicinal uses, being used as a gargle and tonic.
